Climate Group

A supportive and educational group for those experiencing climate distress. This 8 week experience is designed to bring you into deep connection and enhance your resilience. Together we explore grief, ritual, narrative, the intelligence of nature, learn regenerative practices. Facilitated by Maia Kiley, licensed psychotherapist and certified ecotherapist.

Sessions include facilitated discussion, psychoeducation, guided meditation, movement, and ecotherapy.

Though this group is therapeutic and led by a licensed psychotherapist, it is not therapy. This is an educational, experiential group.

This group draws on depth psychotherapy, internal family systems, the work that reconnects (Joanna Macy), climate psychology, ecopsychology, and mindful movement practices.

Wednesdays Oct 1 - Nov 19

Location: A cozy office (TBD) in Brooklyn, NY.

Those who feel the weight of the world. Are ready to face their climate feelings. Who want to show up in their lives personally and professionally in a resourced, resilient, and supported way. For those who feel alone, isolated, and concerned. For those burnt out, disconnected, or hopeless.

Those in need of a supportive, weekly space to address feelings personal and collective. For those who care about the Earth and its beings. And who feel the urgency of these times. Welcome to the Climate Group designed to nourish and connect you.

Attendance

You may want to treat this group as you would a family or work commitment, a high priority. Sessions are in a particular sequence that builds on the previous one, as the group becomes deeper and more cohesive over time. You are expected to pay for all meetings even if you need to miss any of them. If you know you will miss more than 2 out of the 8 meetings, I recommend you wait to join another round.

Make it stand out.

  • Dream it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
