An intimate gathering to celebrate our diverse ecological identities, lived experience in connection with Nature, and personal empowerment in an era of polarization and climate change.
This event includes community building, presentations, embodied exercises, music, and collective visioning.

Thomas Doherty
Pioneering climate psychologist Thomas Doherty will set the context for our event with an introduction to ecological identity and will share insights from his new book Surviving Climate Anxiety. Thomas is an award-winning clinical psychologist, internationally recognized for his research on nature-based therapy and the mental health impacts of climate change. Thomas is the creator of the podcast Climate Change and Happiness and is known for his positive and uplifting approach to the challenges of eco and climate distress. He lives with his family in Portland, Oregon.

Maia Kiley
Maia Kiley is a licensed psychotherapist and certified ecotherapist (nature-based healing) in Brooklyn. She has years of dance experience at Boston Ballet School, Skidmore College, and with latin dance. Maia is a facilitator of events that weave together personal, collective, and ecological well being.
She will lead us in somatic exercises and gentle movement to engage a calm center. And to embody our ecological selves through a guided meditation.

Anya Kamenetz writes the bestselling Substack The Golden Hour about coping and thriving in a rapidly changing world. Her next book is on the same topic. She's an award-winning author and journalist, a workshop leader, presenter, podcaster and advocate affiliated with organizations including Climate Mental Health Network, Adamah/Jewish Youth Climate Movement, and Climate Families NYC.
These times demand that we all grow and take a step more into our power as community advocates, engaged citizens and activists.
